Melanie Lima

MSW, LCSW

Clients are not sure what therapy looks like and what to do. They often will say it is like the movies. I let the client know how the therapy process will look like. I often will tell the client you want to be sure that the therapist is a good fit and feel comfortable with. If I am not the right person for the job, then let’s find someone who is. I would also like to inform the client that they are the driver, and I am the passenger. I will guide them but, in the end, they will let me know which direction they want to go.

I strive to create space that is non-judgmental, collaborative, safe, and welcoming so the client can grow and ultimately be the best version of themselves.
